The serene Atlantic waters of Loch Carron reflect the misty, ethereal atmosphere near the picturesque Highland village of Plockton. The blue hour light gives it a natural, monochrome feel.
The yachts moored near the shore add a touch of peaceful solitude to the scene, while the subtle play of light and shadow evokes a sense of calm and tranquillity, making this picture a captivating representation of the beauty of Scottish sea lochs in the evening.
I’d been dreaming of doing my “Scottish Grand Tour” and booked months in advance. Plockton was my first port of call. I contacted the boat company and booked a “sunset cruise” long before it was on their website. In fact, they chose the evening to suit my itinery!
Although the weather was not perfect on the day, Calum kept his promise of an evening tour. It turned out we were just a small group and he adapted the tour to suit the weather. No sunset over the Isle of Skye, but we enjoyed many magical moments on our trip to Loch Kishorn. We saw not only seals but even a minke whale! I can wholeheartedly recommend Calum’s Seal Trips.
I will never forget views like this one during our almost silent return into Plockton Harbour.
